Here is the price list breakdown of my first three cars. My third 5-speed car has the same MSRP of my first. Includes the maximum price of all know options.

That is pretty cool Simo. I didnt realize that the Y82 package was so expensive! Did you buy any of them new?
Do you have the window sticker or invoice for your latest car?

I purchased the CFI-Automatic new off the show room floor. It had the best seats, no blemishes in the leather. Bob Warren Pontiac in Manhattan Beach, CA had three CFI-Automatic and three 5-Speed cars in stock. I wish I would have taken pictures. They wanted $1,000.00 over sticker and I ended paying $1,000.00 under sticker. My dad taught me well. I made them use a razor blade to remove both window stickers. I got the invoices from Pontiac before PHS for the first three cars including the 15th. I have the carbon copy WS of the second five speed car. I do have the window stickers for the latest car but they did a really bad job. I have the original sales contract for $20,000.00 as the purchase price before tax and license. The automatic invoice The first 5-speed invoice The second 5-speed WS carbon copy I will do my Automatic WS in the next post after I upload it, 56K is slow.

Here is my original window stickers purchased on February 25, 1983 five days after the race. I wish someone had a window sticker of a car with the single folding rear seat instead of the split folding rear seat. Page 1 Page 2

That is some really cool paper work Simo. I love that sort of stuff IMO it really makes the difference between just another "shiney" car and one that really stands out.

Now I know these cars weren't the quickest cars in the 80's, but 95 horsepower on the invoice?? I'm guessing that meant something else? Maybe how many hp it took to push one of these cars? ;D

It looks like it is 45 and not 95. LOL I have no idea what it reflects. Any one know? ? I guess that is a question for PHS and Jim. We need pictures of the 1982 Recaro in the Recaro section.

Simo Probably a stupid question? A reason for blocking out production run numbers on V.I.N ? Noticed your cowl plate picture and V.I.N 's on paperwork blocked out.

Yes Doug, most sites recommend that you don't post VIN's. By not posting, it may save you or someone from a scam on the Internet. You never know, so I have always played it safe.

Yeah, its not recommended to post full vin #'s. People can apply for lost titles, claim it on accident reports, report it as stolen... all kinds of stuff. A friend of mine had his car reported in full detail (vin # and everything) as a getaway car in a robery and the cops busted us when we went to work one day.
It took him about a week to get everything straight. He spent 2 nights in jail, and I spent one just for being in the car with him.

We need pictures of the 1982 Recaro in the Recaro section. Was that post meant for me? If so, I can get a picture of mine, but theres nothing left to it. I'll look on my computer for a picture of it, otherwise it will be a couple days because its way up behind my house. I think the carpet is still in it, and I think the drivers side fender is there. Other than that, its a frame. I just have it in case I have someone interested in the title/vin plates.

Yes, it was for you I figured since there were no posts in the Recaro section, it would be a good place to start. Didn't know at the time it was a stripped car. But any thing is better than nothing.

yeah, I'll get you a picture. Its snowed about 6 inchs here last night, so I'll have to wait for it to melt. The car is up a hill behind my house (I live in the mountains of VA), and I have to hike up there since someone borrowed my ATV a few weeks back.
I usually have something written after the cars in my signature, but I added them last night.
Well, not a second after I posted this, I had a guy call me about the Recaro. I had it listed in the paper last week, I guess thats where he got my number. He's comming to look at it this afternoon. So I'll definatly have a picture by then.
I need to sell the rest of my cars. I told myself when I bought my 88 Camaro that I would only have one at a time. Oh well.

While looking at wildjeff's site, there is a CDB talking about the split fold down rear seat not being available and the full-width being substituted for the cloth cars. The leather cars would be held until it was available. I suspect that the DT500's needed to make schedule and did not follow this rule. So we see a few of them with the full-width folding rear seat. It gives a $50.00 credit so the DT500 package for those cars should be $6,400.00. The following from wildjeff's site.
