Here is a cool one... an 83 T/A without A/C. I've seen plenty of 85+ and early 4 and 6 cyl AC delete cars, but never saw an early AC delete T/A in person before. Their were several differences between this and my friends 90 1LE IROC w/o AC. The owner was nice enough to let me climb in and get a few pics. The car was a red LG4, auto, CC1, 83 T/A with nice vintage 80's Cragers and louvers on it. Fairly low mileage too.

Interesting...what are those vent levers under the dash? Never seen those. I'm guessing it's for the floor only.

There is a salvage yard here that has TWO '83 Trans Ams that are non-A/C. I should probably go grab everything since the new owners are crushing everything this Fall/Winter and turning it back into farm land! I also ran across a very low option '84 T/A with non-A/C at another yard. It even had the 14" bowling ball wheels and no W62 ground effects. I think non-A/C Trans Ams are more common in the early year 3rd-gens.
Those levers under the steering column are for the "ram vents" that flow air into the interior through the air plenum at the base of the windshield when the car is moving.

I just bought the non-A/C '84 Trans Am I mentioned in the post above to use as a parts car to resurrect my new '82 T/A. One thing I found interesting is that the engine harness still has provisions for A/C. The compressor clutch connector is taped back onto the main engine harness and the high blower fan power feed and throttle kicker connector are attached to the firewall just like an A/C car but obviously have nothing to plug into them.

Cool observation Dens.
I've never encountered a junked A/C delete car to check it out. Are you planning on keeping the A/C delete for your red 82?
Do you have any more photos of the parts 84?

I plan on installing all the non-A/C parts onto the red '82 T/A since the few remaining parts of the A/C system are hacked, busted, or melted. It should make for a nice conversation piece since there arn't too many non-A/C 3rd-gens running around. I've never had a car with working A/C so its not like I'll miss anything. I've taken a few pics of the parts '84 T/A but I haven't gotten one of the whole car yet. Here's some of the underdash ram vents that non-A/C cars have.
