So we all know that these shifters are in fact different than all the other 82-92 shifters. My question is, does the mechanisms that release the shift knob to lock into a gear(i.e. the springs that push down) work from other years?
I have the shifter itself for my car, but it doesnt have any of the springs. Other than that, its fine. It shifts, it just doesnt have anything to lock it in whatever gear its in.
The style of the shifter looks very similar to the th200c 3-speed shifter. But it doesnt look like I could use a 85-92 shifter. Its just too different.
