hi folks
i'm amazed at how difficult it is to find parts for this car; i'm in the process of re-doing the body..i need a right front fender and the front and rear bumper ground effects (the sides are fine)...so far, i've only found one set...550 for the front and back, very used but presentable...does that sound reasonable?
anybody have any parts sources you can direct me to? i am doing the compete interior as well...
thanks everyone

Well the good news is that the front and rear GFX are probably the hardest body parts to find. The bumpers, fenders etc, shouldnt be as hard. $550 sounds VERY high for just the front GFX, and the rear GFX. Just for comparison I paid $40 for a used rear set about a year ago off of Ebay, and $100 for an NOS front GFX piece. Also, I have seen fiberglass reproductions from companies that make fiberglass body panels for race cars. You may want to investigate that. I dont know about the quality, but I've seen the parts listed. Keep an eye out in the salvage yards. I've had alot of luck with ebay. Spread the word. The parts are out there! Good luck.

One big problem is that not all '84 Trans Ams got that aero package. When I lived in Los Angeles, I would always hit the junk yards. I never saw a good decent front or rear aero package part. Not saying you won't, but you might not. Try GM Salvage out in the Central Coast of California. I think they also advertise on ebay. Another is TA creations in Florida. You have tried the regular thirdgen places? Hawks, etc.? Good luck, George
