I just got back from Vegas, the auction is at the Mandalay Bay Casino, I got to see them setting up a bit. Big tents, signs, a few cars, etc. That particular car was on display as part of the Imperial Palace Casino's collection. I think it is important to note that the front bumper inserts have been painted. It came out of Colorado a few years back. There will also be an 83 DT500 T/A at the auction that some on this site may recognize. Lot 421.1

And the results... as posted over on TGO... I do not know if there was a reserve or not.
1983 DT500 was bid up to $12,000
1984 T/A was bid up to $8,500
I think the prices did a good job showing the overall demand for the cars.
Personally I think that the price on the red car was still a tad high, but thats just my opinion given the modifications. (Painted grilles, wood interior trim, exhaust). I am not a huge fan of the red/black with gold wheels either... It is a funky color combo.
