On my 84', at night my lights will flicker. Also i notice my battery gauge likes to move around a bit when i turn on the accessories. It has a new-remaufatured alt., new interstate battery. Any ideas?
Also when i drive it for a few hours, turn the car off with the lights on, the car wont start like the batt. is dead, but everything else works. When i turn them off for 10min, it starts back up.

Did this happen before you installed the new alternator?

Its done it since i bought the car, and the previous owners installed the alt. I cleaned and checked the wiring, it turned out ok. What are the chances of getting a bad alt.?

Well my first guess would be the alternator.
I had one that made my lights "pulse" as the RPM's changed.
And as far as bad alternators...I've encountered plenty of lousy reman. ones.

Most certainly the alternator/battery would be the first things to check, they're easiest! I would take the alternator and battery to a parts store you trust and have it tested. I used to work at a parts store, and at an electrical components factory (we built for OEM, not reman), and have also seen plenty of shoddy reman alternators and starters. I have a suspicion that comething more complicated may be at fault here, though. You say when you turn the car off with the lights on, and try to restart with the lights on (correct?), no crank. Does it start fine if you turn the lights off before shutting off the engine?
I would check out the battery cables, too. If the cables are old and corroded (internally) the high resistance could prevent the starter from cranking with the lights on, as these are probably the two highest-draw components. Also check and make sure you have nice clean grounds. It's possible the previous owners slapped in a new battery and alternator in an attempt to "fix" this problem. I used to see it all the time, many people think the alternator, starter and battery are the only components of the electrical system!
