Nice page Kizz. You should tell your friend that there is a big Pontiac show coming up this weekend at Englishtown Raceway park. he should bring some of his early birds.

It's absolutely gorgeous, but I think it's been repainted (if I had to guess). Firebirds of that year had black spoilers and black matte mirrors. Even if I'm wrong, NICE SCORE! She's BEAUTIFUL!

Firebirds of that year had black spoilers and black matte mirrors. Just the Trans Am that year. The regular birds and S/E's got body color.

that's the correct URL. Somewhere along the line, he reconfigured his server and the old URL with :8080 in it doesn't work anymore. Having seen the car in person, I can tell you the paint is original. It's pretty close to flawless, with a few rock chips up front, but I'd say less than its share for 43k miles, and one smallish dent on the side. It has the original S/E greyscale stripes, maroon S/E and Firebird emblems, color-match body-side molding, etc. It's never been messed with at all, as far as we know, with the exception of a weird alarm system which my friend removed (mostly!). It's a really solid really original WS7 beauty. This is just speculation but I think the seller may have been eager to get rid of it because of possible transmission problems, and when I test drove it, the trans did hiccup at times and was clunky at times. But we got the last laugh, because all those problems were apparently fixed with a simple re-adjustment of the throttle valve cable. GT

Kizz, ever think about stripping the paint off an original black painted set and putting the hubcaps in a lathe and spinning them to get the brushed finish on the aluminum outer cap? I'm sure that is basically what the factory did. I used a lathe when I cleaned up the machined surfaces on my set of N89 rims. I worked out really well. I think its going to be about impossible to find a set of 15"x7" P20 brushed finish hubcaps!

Yup. Any sets left out there get snatched up by Knight Rider Replica builders. That's fine, but it just means they're going to disappear faster and at a higher price.

I have a friend who's looking to sell his PMDs, but they're black. You still interested if they are?
