I was just wondering how many of you have a center console light, i have one but it doesnt work. Does anyone have a picture of their or how do they work. It doesnt seem to have a switch. Thanks Bo.  |

It is supposed to turn on when you open the console lid. I'll post a picture of mine tomorrow.

When you open the console door there is supposed to be a button just above the light in there. Perhaps yours broke and fell into the console. You should see a small rectangular opening at the back of the console, just above the light where the button would touch the lid.

I think the springs wear out over time and they break, making the switch not work. I grabbed a few at the junkyard and they all were broken. I took the switch apart and all of the springs were broken. Unless you can find a similar spring, I don't think they can be repaired. I thought maybe a pen spring would work, but they are too big. I haven't really looked for other alternatives.
